Since March 2008, Sunshine Coast Libraries provide one library service combining three formerly separate library services. Collectively we have more than half a million items for loan, through 9 libraries and 3 mobile libraries. A variety of services for young people, their families, teachers and caring adults provides local people with access to library resources when and how they best appreciate it.
Library members and visitors can
- borrow books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, toys, games and more
- use the internet FREE, or use your own laptop computer in libraries with wireless connectivity
- access our libraries on line from home or school or anywhere to reserve items or renew loans
- attend functions, such as cultural experiences, author visits and book launches, or workshops
- share storytimes with children, toddlers, and babies!
- enjoy school holiday fun, including the summer reading club, and regular holiday activities.
This wiki is intended for library staff working with young people to share experiences and skills, and to develop a new collective vision for services to families, children and young people in the Sunshine Coast region.
Unlike other wikis, the public is not able to edit or alter information here, but are very welcome to provide feedback via email or phone to one of the listed contacts.
